By accessing or using the Checkmate Sports Group ("CSG") website, booking platform, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services. If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accept these terms on their behalf.
CSG provides sports and cognitive training services, including basketball training, chess instruction, and the combined Checkmate System™ program. Services may be delivered in the form of private (1-on-1), shared, or small group sessions, at CSG locations or at a location of your choosing where available.
To book sessions, you may be required to create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
All session bookings are subject to review and approval. • Bookings are initially submitted as pending • Confirmation is sent once the session is approved • CSG reserves the right to accept, reschedule, or decline any booking based on availability, location, or other factors • Submitted pricing is an estimate; final pricing is confirmed by CSG based on the selected service, duration, and travel
Session pricing depends on the selected service type, duration, group size, and coach. For sessions where the coach travels to your location, a travel fee may apply based on one-way driving distance from the coach's base location. Travel fees are calculated at the time of booking and locked in upon address verification. CSG reserves the right to update pricing at any time; any changes apply only to bookings made after the change.
Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. • Sessions may require advance payment or a saved payment method • Prepaid package purchases are charged at the time of purchase • Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking or forfeiture of the session
CSG offers prepaid session packages. • Package credits are used to schedule eligible future sessions • Once a training session has been completed, a cash refund is not authorized • When CSG approves a service adjustment before a session is completed, the value may be issued as CSG credit rather than a cash refund • CSG credits must be used for an eligible lesson at the same approved location/travel-distance level unless CSG approves otherwise
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance • Late cancellations or no-shows may result in loss of the session or fees • Rescheduling is subject to coach availability • No cash refund is authorized after the athlete has already received the scheduled workout • When applicable, CSG may issue account credit for a future eligible session instead of a cash refund • CSG may reschedule or cancel sessions due to weather, emergencies, or scheduling conflicts, with reasonable notice
Participation in sports training involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to injury. By participating in CSG programs, you acknowledge and accept these risks. You agree that Checkmate Sports Group and its staff will not be held liable for injuries, damages, or losses sustained during training sessions, except where required by law.
Participants (or their guardians) must disclose any relevant medical conditions prior to training. In the event of an emergency, CSG staff may take appropriate action, including contacting emergency services, using the information provided during registration.
All participants and guardians are expected to behave respectfully toward coaches, staff, and other participants. CSG reserves the right to remove any participant for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior without refund.
CSG may capture photos or videos during sessions for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant permission for this content to be used unless you submit a written request to opt out.
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, training materials, and the Checkmate System™ branding, is the property of Checkmate Sports Group and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Checkmate Sports Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, except where required by law.
CSG reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
